What BridgePacks offers
BridgePacks is an online tool that helps school business managers and leadership teams prepare for Martyn’s Law with tailored, editable emergency planning documents.
Developed by communications agency LionbridgePR, it brings practical crisis communications experience to the day-to-day challenges of running a school. The platform draws on LionbridgePR’s work delivering crisis workshops to more than 150 UK headteachers, alongside preparing crisis plans for organisations including easyJet, Dorchester Hotels and Oliver Bonas.
Its approach recognises that every school is different, with its own buildings, pupils, staffing arrangements and existing safety measures.

How it works
After completing a structured online questionnaire, schools receive four editable Word documents:
- A tailored Martyn’s Law plan covering evacuation, invacuation, lockdown and communications.
- A staff operational guide setting out responsibilities and immediate actions.
- Poster content and record cards for accessible reference.
- An action list identifying further preparation required.
For busy school leaders and business managers, BridgePacks provides a structured starting point that reduces the burden of drafting plans from scratch. Documents can be reviewed with colleagues, adapted to the school’s needs and updated as circumstances change.
The service includes one year of access and up to twelve fresh document generations. Schools retain their downloaded files, with no automatic renewal.

What does HeadteacherChat® think?
For us, the value of BridgePacks is that it gives busy school leaders a clear place to start with emergency planning, rather than another blank document to complete. Tailored plans, staff guidance and an action list bring the work together in a manageable way. We particularly like the emphasis on editable documents that can reflect the school’s own circumstances. The important next step is to review the plans with colleagues, brief staff and practise the procedures. BridgePacks can support that preparation, but it does not replace professional judgement or guarantee legal compliance.
What schools say
“The documents are extremely thorough and cover all the key areas, clearly setting out responsibilities as well as any follow-up actions required.”
Jane Monaghan, School Business Manager, Hampton Hargate Primary School, Peterborough
“Honestly, it's brilliant, and I am really impressed, so quick and so simple and it actually gave me an Action Plan as to what I needed to do next!! It is a nifty piece of software and after putting some school details in, took about 10 minutes.”
Rona Metters, Lincolnshire School Business Forum
“Thank you for an exceptional service level. Simply brilliant!”
Claire Simmons, Finance Director, Lincoln Christ's Hospital School
“I was very impressed by the clarity of the documents, and the action plan will be extremely useful to us to identify the areas where we currently fall short.”
Wendy Bartlett, School Business Manager, Barton CE (VA) Primary School
