What this covers
- The evidence behind improving staff wellbeing, and building a culture where staff want to stay.
- What listeners said about the effect of the pandemic on staff wellbeing.
- Welbee's then-new AI wellbeing assistant, toolkit and measurement tools, as Welbee described them.
Before you act on it
The DfE's education staff wellbeing charter sets out commitments schools can make, including on surveying staff. If a survey tool processes staff data, run a data protection impact assessment.
About the session
A Twitter Spaces session on "Building a culture where people want to stay and do well", looking at the evidence behind improving staff wellbeing. Lucy and Jonathan from HeadteacherChat talk to Mark, founder of @Welbee, an edtech company focused on staff wellbeing. Welbee had just launched what it described as the world's first AI-powered staff wellbeing assistant, along with a toolkit of resources and measurement tools for those working in education.
Listeners told us that the effects of the pandemic had made staff stress worse and that things were showing little sign of improvement.
The session also announced the winner of our Floral AHT planner competition.
