RSHE
Relationships education is compulsory for primary pupils in England, relationships and sex education (RSE) for secondary pupils, and health education for pupils in state-funded schools at both phases. Revised Department for Education statutory guidance, published in July 2025, came into force on 1 September 2026 and replaces the 2019 guidance. This topic covers planning the curriculum, consulting parents on the RSE policy and handling requests to withdraw a pupil from sex education.
