The Subject Leader Report Template is a two-page template for subject leaders to reflect on their subject, its teaching and learning and its impact, and to report to governors and leaders.
It's really important to spend some time reflecting as a subject leader on a regular basis so that you can:
- Ensure that the teaching and learning for your subject area is having a positive impact on learning, for all pupils, and over time.
- Understand where the gaps are in terms of learning so that you can offer a more targeted approach to improving outcomes.
- Evaluate your curriculum area so that you have a greater understanding of your subject and know what areas are doing well and those that need improvement.
- Make informed decisions
- Formulate your vision for the future
- Understand where the knowledge gaps are so that you can plan for appropriate CPD sessions for teachers
- Know which resources you need to purchase and why.
- Know what you have in terms of specialisms and resourcing
- Create informed reports for Governors and Leaders so that they understand what needs to be done and why.
- Create informed action plans
This subject leader report will help you to:
