QA and Self-Evaluation Pack

The QA and Self-Evaluation Pack gives you a year of quality assurance and a short, factual summary for each Ofsted evaluation area. Written for Ofsted's school inspection toolkit (version 2.0, in use from 7 September 2026). Built by practising school leaders in the HeadteacherChat community, because members asked for it.

• Special school QA calendar and action plan: the same structure, written for specialist settings
• Nine one-page summaries in the style of a SEF, one for each evaluation area: safeguarding, inclusion, curriculum and teaching, achievement, attendance and behaviour, personal development and wellbeing, early years, post-16, and leadership and governance

Each summary is one working page with guidance on page two: your current view on the five-point scale (met or not met for safeguarding), what the expected standard says, two or three facts about where you are, and what you're doing about it this term. Ofsted does not expect a written self-evaluation, so these are for you, your governors and your team.

Delivered as one zip file of 12 editable Word documents. Adapt names, year groups and timings to your own school.
