Written for primary schools in England, with every date checked against DfE sources in August 2026. Under Burgundy Book terms, headteachers have earlier resignation dates than deputies and classroom teachers, and the schedule sets them out side by side. The 2027 assessment and reporting arrangements weren't published when it was written, so there's a note telling you where to check those dates.
