Neither has a grade box, because Ofsted does not grade individual lessons or teachers. Built by practising school leaders in the HeadteacherChat community, because members asked for it.

  • Headteacher learning walk script (4 pages): what to say on the way in, what to scan for, questions that get useful answers from pupils, a "looks convincing vs proves learning" table, EYFS and SEND prompts, and a recording box for three honest bullet points
  • Lesson visit and learning walk record (7 pages): a one-page visit record, a prompt bank for reading, oracy, inclusion and early years, a termly summary that turns a set of visits into SEF evidence, and a termly monitoring rhythm

Especially useful if you're new to headship or leading learning walks for the first time. Delivered as one zip file of editable Word documents. Adapt the wording to your own school and tell staff how the notes will be used.
