The Curriculum and Teaching Audit for Schools (2026/27) is an editable self-evaluation audit for the curriculum and teaching evaluation area of Ofsted's school inspection toolkit, for inspections from September 2026. It helps leaders check how well the curriculum and teaching work for every pupil, and turn what they find into clear next steps.
2026/27 edition. Updated from our November 2025 version to the current toolkit and its five-point scale: exceptional, strong standard, expected standard, needs attention and urgent improvement.
